VeRa Terms of Service

VeRa is an 18+ platform. You may only access or use VeRa if you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.

Creator accounts, monetization features, payouts, subscriptions, messaging, adult-content access, and certain platform tools require identity and age verification. By applying to become a creator, you agree to provide valid government-issued identification, verification information, selfies, tax information, payment information, or other documentation requested by VeRa or its verification and payment providers.

VeRa may use third-party providers, including payment processors and identity-verification services, to review identity, age, fraud risk, account authenticity, legal eligibility, and compliance status.

You represent and warrant that all information and documents submitted to VeRa are accurate, authentic, current, and belong to you. Submitting false, misleading, altered, expired, stolen, or fraudulent information may result in account suspension, payout freezes, permanent removal from the platform, and possible reporting to law enforcement or relevant authorities where appropriate.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of VeRa complies with all laws, regulations, restrictions, and age requirements applicable in your jurisdiction. VeRa is not responsible for unauthorized or unlawful access by users who misrepresent their identity, age, or eligibility.

VeRa may deny, restrict, age-gate, suspend, demonetize, or terminate access to accounts, content, subscriptions, creator tools, or payouts at any time where eligibility, verification, compliance, fraud, safety, legal, or payment-provider concerns arise.

VeRa is a technology platform for creator memberships, subscriptions, tips, messaging, discovery, and user-generated content. We provide the tools that help creators publish, manage, and monetize their work while helping users discover and support creators.

Creators and users are independent parties responsible for the content they post, the information they provide, the promises they make, and their interactions with others. VeRa does not own creator content and does not guarantee creator earnings, subscriber outcomes, content availability, or specific transaction results.

To protect the platform and community, VeRa may review, moderate, rank, recommend, restrict, remove, age-gate, suspend, or investigate content, accounts, subscriptions, tips, payouts, or features when needed for safety, legal compliance, payment integrity, fraud prevention, or policy enforcement.

VeRa is not an employer, agent, partner, or representative of creators or users. Creators operate independently and remain responsible for their own content, business activity, taxes, legal compliance, and subscriber-facing claims.

You are responsible for your account credentials, all activity under your account, and maintaining accurate registration information. You must notify VeRa promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, payment abuse, identity misuse, or any security incident affecting your account.

You may not share, transfer, sell, or lend your account, impersonate another person, or access VeRa using credentials that are not your own.

Users and creators are solely responsible for the content they upload, publish, send, stream, describe, sell, or otherwise make available through VeRa. This includes posts, captions, comments, images, videos, profile descriptions, messages, pricing claims, and any other user-generated material.

By posting content, you represent and warrant that you own it or have all rights, permissions, consents, and licenses necessary to use and authorize VeRa to use it in connection with the service.

Certain VeRa features may involve mature or age-restricted creator content. You may access or use those features only if you are at least 18 years old and legally allowed to do so in your jurisdiction.

You may not upload, request, promote, buy, sell, distribute, or facilitate content involving minors, sexualized minors, child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate content, coercion, exploitation, trafficking, blackmail, revenge content, hidden-camera content, or sexual content involving any person who has not knowingly and lawfully consented.

Creators are responsible for confirming that all persons depicted in their content are adults where required, have consented to the creation and distribution of the content, and that the creator has all legally required rights, permissions, releases, and records. VeRa may remove content, restrict accounts, preserve evidence, report suspected illegal activity, and cooperate with payment processors or authorities where appropriate.

As between you and VeRa, you retain ownership of content you lawfully submit. However, by using VeRa you grant VeRa a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, format, transmit, display, distribute, moderate, review, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, promote, enforce, and provide the platform.

This license includes use for trust and safety review, payment support, customer support, legal compliance, dispute handling, product analytics, and service administration.

You may not use VeRa to violate law, infringe rights, exploit others, evade payment obligations, or interfere with the platform. Prohibited conduct includes fraud, impersonation, spam, stalking, harassment, threats, money laundering, non-consensual content, exploitative conduct, copyright infringement, abusive chargebacks, scraping, bot activity, security testing without authorization, and attempts to bypass moderation, payouts, access controls, billing, or discovery rules.

You may not upload or distribute content that is illegal, deceptive, hateful, exploitative, violent, non-consensual, privacy-invasive, or otherwise prohibited by VeRa policy.

VeRa may monitor, review, restrict, demonetize, remove, age-gate, geoblock, hide, flag, disable access to, or refuse any content, account, feature, payout, listing, or transaction at any time if we believe it may violate our rules, payment requirements, legal obligations, safety standards, or business integrity standards.

Enforcement decisions may be automated, manual, temporary, or permanent. VeRa is not required to provide advance notice, preserve visibility, or explain every enforcement decision in full detail.

Paid subscriptions on VeRa automatically renew on the billing interval displayed at checkout unless canceled before the next renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges using your selected payment method until you cancel.

Cancellation stops future renewals but does not normally reverse charges already processed for the current billing period, subject to applicable law or platform policy. Access may continue through the end of the paid period if the subscription is canceled at period end.

Subscription pricing, benefits, creator availability, content availability, and access levels may change over time. VeRa may suspend or block subscription access where billing, fraud, payout, moderation, or legal issues arise.

Tips are voluntary payments made to creators. Unless required by law or due to a proven billing or payment-processing issue, tips are generally final and non-refundable.

VeRa may delay, reverse, hold, or investigate tips where fraud, payment disputes, platform abuse, moderation concerns, legal obligations, or processing issues exist.

VeRa uses Stripe and other third-party providers to process payments, billing, subscriptions, creator payouts, identity checks, and related services. By using paid features, you agree that those providers may process your payment data under their own terms and privacy documentation.

VeRa is not a bank, money transmitter, or payment processor. Payment functionality may depend on provider availability, compliance review, risk controls, geographic eligibility, and verification status.

VeRa may charge platform fees and may deduct platform fees, payment-processing costs, refunds, chargebacks, disputes, reserves, taxes, currency-conversion costs, payout fees, compliance costs, or other lawful adjustments from transactions or creator payouts where permitted by policy, contract, processor rules, or law.

Users are responsible for reviewing the total price, subscription terms, taxes, fees, and billing details shown at checkout before completing a transaction. Prices may be shown before or after applicable taxes depending on the feature, jurisdiction, checkout flow, and payment provider.

Creators are responsible for determining, reporting, collecting, and paying any taxes, duties, income taxes, sales taxes, GST/HST/QST, VAT, withholding obligations, or other government charges that apply to their creator activity and earnings, except where VeRa or a payment provider is legally required to collect, withhold, report, or remit amounts directly.

VeRa may correct billing errors, pricing errors, processing mistakes, tax calculation issues, payout errors, or transaction inaccuracies at any time. VeRa may also request tax forms, identity information, business information, or other documentation needed for tax reporting, fraud prevention, compliance, or payout processing.

VeRa and its branding, software, interface, design, and platform materials are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, scrape, or exploit VeRa technology or branding.

If you believe content on VeRa infringes your rights, use the copyright reporting process described on our copyright page. VeRa may remove allegedly infringing content, restrict repeat infringers, and request additional information before taking action.

VeRa does not guarantee creator income, subscriber growth, discovery placement, engagement, visibility, payouts on any fixed schedule, uninterrupted access, content availability, subscriber satisfaction, creator availability, or that any feature will remain available permanently.

Platform features may change, pause, break, be removed, or become unavailable due to testing, maintenance, compliance review, payment-provider requirements, abuse prevention, legal obligations, or business decisions.

Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, contractor, agency, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary, franchise, or representative relationship between VeRa and any user or creator. Creators are independent users of the platform and are not employees, agents, or representatives of VeRa.

VeRa may provide tools for subscriptions, tips, payouts, discovery, moderation, analytics, and communication, but creators remain responsible for their own business activities, content, subscriber-facing promises, tax obligations, and legal compliance.

VeRa may suspend, restrict, freeze, or terminate accounts, content access, creator monetization, subscription access, tips, or payouts if we believe there is a policy breach, payment issue, fraud risk, legal exposure, verification problem, safety concern, or operational risk.

You may stop using VeRa at any time. Some provisions of these Terms survive termination, including content licenses already granted, payment obligations, chargeback handling, dispute rights, indemnities, liability limits, and enforcement rights.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VeRa and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to your content, your use of the platform, your transactions, your violations of these Terms, or your infringement or misuse of another person’s rights.

VeRa is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, VeRa disclaims warranties, representations, and conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or collateral, including implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VeRa and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, service providers, and payment partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of revenue, creator earnings, subscriptions, data, goodwill, reputation, content visibility, business opportunity, or platform access arising from or related to the use of VeRa.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory involved, including contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, and includes claims arising from outages, downtime, moderation actions, account restrictions, content removal, payment disputes, payout delays, fraud, unauthorized access, third-party service failures, or user conduct.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VeRa’s total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the platform will not exceed the greater of:

• the total amount paid to VeRa by you during the 12 months before the claim arose; or
• one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Canada and, where applicable, the laws of Quebec, without regard to conflict of laws principles, except where mandatory consumer protection law requires otherwise.

Unless mandatory law provides another forum, disputes arising from or relating to VeRa may be brought in the courts located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

If a dispute arises, you agree to first contact VeRa so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Where permitted by applicable law, disputes must be handled on an individual basis and not as a class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding.

Where arbitration or class-action waivers are not enforceable under mandatory consumer protection, Quebec, Canadian, or other applicable law, those mandatory protections will apply only to the extent required. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
